Foundation announces Legacy Society Membership
When Reverend Raymond Ley was asked why he planned to leave a gift in his estate for the Huntingburg Foundation his answer was inquisitive, “Who else can assure my gift will perpetually make a difference?”
Rev. Ley recognized the Community Foundation offers a simple, powerful, and highly personal approach to charitable giving. His estate gift is an investment in our community’s future and directly supports two of his favorite charities—Salem United Church of Christ and Generations. This is why he is a member of our Legacy Society, created to recognize living individuals who share the Foundation’s dedication to our community.
The Legacy Society is open to anyone who makes an estate gift provision to benefit our community through the Huntingburg Foundation. The provisions can be made in many different ways and we encourage you to learn more by speaking with your financial advisor or contacting the Foundation. There is no minimum gift requirement for membership in the Legacy Society. Many estate provisions are expressed as a percentage or remainder of your estate and thus may vary over time. The Legacy Society recognizes all gifts that, in effect, utilize the Community Foundation to continue a donor’s support of their chosen charities after his or her lifetime.
To gain membership status, all you need to do is let us know of your gift or gift intent by completing the enclosed “Legacy Society” form and returning it to the Community Foundation. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me or Brad Ward, our Executive Director. As always, thank you for supporting the Huntingburg Foundation and our desires to invest in the future of our community, forever.
Every act of giving is personal and unique. So go ahead, be unforgettable.
