MIKE UEBEHLOR, Board President

The tasks were no easy feat, but with an Executive Director off to a fresh start, financing and a new board of directors secured for the Huntingburg Event & Community Center (HECC), and dedicated trustees of the Foundation eager to regenerate funds and interest in our efforts as a community foundation, this is the time to take pride in recent achievements.
Yet, challenges remain and now is the time to roll up our sleeves to actively support our Executive Director, Brad Ward, as he takes on the challenge to replenish and grow the Foundation’s funds.
With a 3.8 million dollar HECC facility receiving significant grants over the past few years, the Foundation has a strong need to recoup the non-restricted funds by which the necessary grants are awarded to our community needs annually.
In the coming months, our staff and volunteer board will work hard to implement ways our friends and neighbors can help us grow the foundation’s capacity to award grants next spring. Our area organizations and charitable projects depend on us. We could not meet the needs of our community without the generosity of people like you.
