As a terminally ill cancer patient, treatment is only palliative for Al (J.A.) Dotterweich. Yet, you cannot keep him from smiling as donations continue to mount toward his recent establishment of an endowment for the Spirit of Southridge Scholarship.
In thanksgiving for the privilege of covering the efforts of our student athletes since 1961, the Spirit of Southridge Scholarship Endowment has been established with the Huntingburg Foundation by Huntingburg Press sportswriter J.A. (Al) Dotterweich.By starting this charitable fund through the Huntingburg Foundation, he has taken the initiative to assure annual scholarships for Raider student athletes in pursuit of a post-secondary education.
