Holland Park Receives $270,000 Boost

Foundation Facilities $270,000 Henke Memorial Stadium Gift & Establishes $15,000 Park Endowment with matching gifts from Woods Printing and Henke Family

Holland Park

Plans for construction of a wrap-around grandstand and shelter house at Holland Park’s baseball field is underway, ensuring a perpetual family and community legacy.

Facilitated by Huntingburg Foundation, the gift honors late parents Harold and Eloise (Caldemeyer) Henke of brothers Ron and Steve and sister Bev Schmutzler.

To ensure the town will care for the stadium and park forever, a $1 for $1 match is offered to establish a perpetual endowment. The Henke family alongside Woods Printing are offering up to $7,500 for the match, doubling your contribution.

The initial $15,000 principal fund is never spent so the balance is continually invested. Annual earnings are reserved exclusively for park enhancements. According to Sue Kissling, Park Board President, funds raised beyond the initial match are for immediate park improvements.

“Immediate funds will allow for dugout improvements to compliment the stadium, among other park enhancements in the coming years,” Ms. Kissling said. It all starts with gifts from the community to make it possible.

No gift is too small. Every dollar counts, whether endowed forever or being utilized today for current improvements. Your gift enhances the park for generations to come.
