Holiday giving raises perpetual funds for Holland and Huntingburg
This holiday season, Holland Town Council and the Huntingburg Mayor's Office both accepted a matching gift challenge from the Foundation to build permanent charitable funds for their respective communities.
The grant doubled endowed gifts for each community up to $5,000 received for select community funds.For Huntingburg: The Huntingburg Assistance Fund Endowment was eligible for residents to double their endowed gifts, providing charities who serve the needy with perpetual grants. With the matching grant included, $6,750 was raised for the Huntingburg Assistance Fund.
For Holland: Several funds were available for residents to choose, all of which are designed to better the community. Holland’s community funds include the Lynne Weber-Messmer Memorial Endowment, Maurice C. Woods Memorial Endowment, Hank & Eloise Henke Stadium and Field Endowment, and Holland Park Charitable Endowment. The total amount raised between the four Holland funds, including the matching grant, was $15,370.
The endowed gifts created perpetual grants for Huntingburg and Holland to continue to prosper in the future. Thanks to everyone who participated. Whether your gift was $10 or $1,000, it all adds up.
