Building Momentum for Philanthropy

From the Desk of the Board President

With the focus on growth of existing endowments and charitable funds that support over 70 causes in our community, our Board is fully engaged in building donor and nonprofit relationships.

  Our strategies and support has helped many donors connect with causes they care about.  As well, county-wide initiatives and new giving opportunities are forming to allow everyone  to participate  in philanthropy.

We are building new and innovative  tools for charity, investing  in our nonprofit organizations with the Better Together Initiative and nonprofit luncheon series.  Our Emerging Leaders, a giving circle for young adults to give back, launches this fall.    You can read more in our newsletter.  To receive an electronic copy, sign up online. 

Our success has provided the Foundation with important endorsements—most notably, Lilly Endowment is investing $113,000 in our Strategic  Business Plan over the next three years to maintain our level of advanced operations for community building.  I am hopeful each of you will recommit yourself to the important work of our Foundation, offering your time and talents to help us build relationships that drive charity in our community.  We have the opportunity to build a community worth passing on for generations to come.   We thank you for your generosity to our community.
