Project Funds (Pass Through Accounts) at the Community Foundation

Project Funds, also known as Pass Through Accounts, allow flexibility and immediate impact of funds.  Often in conjunction with endowed funds, the contributions to these funds are spendable and not held as principal in an endowment.   There is no perpetual impact of these gifts, but they do make an immediate impact on the community. 

Assistance Fund – established by the City of Huntingburg to provide local families in need a warm meal during the holiday season as well as general aid to local food pantries and related charities

Community Arts and Music Fund -- established by Lawrence and Christine Fuesler to provide support for the Arts within the Huntingburg Area

Historic Landmarks Fund -- established on behalf of Dubois County Lanndmarks Preservation, Inc. (Preserve Dubois County) to support the establishment of their charitable organization to preserve landmarks across the county

Huntingburg Youth Center Fund – established to provide short-term project funds to Teen Outback Youth Center

Huntingburg HS Memorial Fund – established by alumni to provide a memorial for the landmark site of the historic Huntingburg High School located next to the historic high school gymnasium (intersection of US 231 and State Road 64) currently occupied by the Huntingburg Youth Center

Huntingburg Museum Fund – established to support the local museum that illustrates the life and times of the people of Huntingburg through pictures, artifacts, and other documentation.  Included are various war memorabilia, a 1901 car built locally, items from “A League of Their Own,” and more.

Huntingburg Event & Community Center Fund – established by the Huntingburg Foundation, Inc. as a community project fund to support the construction, upkeep, and preservation of an event and community center for Southwestern Dubois County residents and the continued economic development growth of our area

Huntingburg Foundation Operating Fund – established to support Community foundation's operations

Daniel B. & Martha Jeffers Homestead Nature Preserve Fund – established for upkeep of a thirty-acre nature preserve donated to the Huntingburg Foundation Inc. located west of Huntingburg Lake, a natural watershed and preserve for the City of Huntingburg and local residents of Dubois County

Friends of Raider Tennis Fund – established for Southwest Dubois County School Corporation as project funds to develop and maintain tennis courts and its accompanying athletic amenities

Internship Fund -- established by Lilly Endowment to provide support for a two year internship program for Indiana College Students 

Jeffers Family Nature Preserve Fund -- established by the Jeffers family to create an entry way and memorial dedication to the preserve

Jeffers Nature Preserve -- established by the Jeffers family in order to gift and convey real estate to the Foundation to be used for public and charitable causes

League Stadium Capital Improvement Fund -- established by Scott Gladish to provide support to the City of Huntingburg for the improvement and enhancement of the Huntingburg League Stadium 

St. Joseph Auxillary Pass-Thru Fund– established to support a local non-profit entity locating a general acute hospital or other health care facility in the City of Huntingburg

Old Town Hall Pass-Thru Fund– established to support the 1886 circa Victorian Italianate Old Town Hall’s internal operations of day-to-day maintenance and upkeep
