Notice to Stakeholders & Grantees:

It's been all over the news: our economy is suffering. Not a single sector, whether private, public, or nonprofit can avoid the pinch. Nonprofits are trying to do more with less and Foundaions are in the realm of such market volatilities.

Amidst the financial mayhem, foundations are also seeking solutions to a shortage of resources and an increase in need. According to a recent survey conducted by Indiana Grantmakers Alliance, a membership association serving the state's foundations and corporate giving programs, the losses suffered in the financial markets are diminishing funders' grantmaking capacity. Therefore,shrinking assets and budgets, paired with growing requests for help has required our community foundation to utilize creative grantmaking strategies and support causes and communities through revised funding priorities.
