$100,000 for 2010 Grant Disbursements

The Board of Directors approved 2010 disbursements at $100,000.   This amount is determined by the endowment's ability to produce such earnings over a twelve quarter rolling average.  It does not include special grants requested by contributors throughout the year, which likely will raise the total grant awards.

BetterTogether Reception and Workshop

Join us on August 17

 In continuation of the BetterTogether Initiative, a non-profit reception will be hosted by Tri-Cap and the Dubois County Volunteer Center on Tuesday, August 17 at 6:30 in Old Town Hall. All area nonprofits, elected officials, community leaders, and volunteers are welcome to attend the event. In addition, a free volunteerism workshop will follow later in the fall (more details to come).

The Foundation has awarded Tri-Cap and the Volunteer Center a resource grant for the purpose of hosting the reception as well as the workshop, which will be conducted by June Miller from Indiana Nonprofit Resource Network. $20,000 Grant for "ArtWorks" Initiative

ArtWorks $20,000 Grant for Art Enrichment

 COMMUNITY ENRICHMENT FOR SOUTHWEST DUBOIS COUNTY

On July 1, a group of community arts leaders convened to learn about a $20,000 grant initiative for arts enrichment in Southwest Dubois County. This funding opportunity, entitled "ArtWorks," will define what it takes to inspire local residents to appreciate and participate in the arts. The next "ArtWorks" meeting will be held on August 4 at 4:00 in the Huntingburg Old Town Hall ballroom. The group will discuss the next steps in organizing the arts enrichment program.
